Meet Danny Cano! 🌟 Danny Cano is an exceptional member of the Hiland Dairy family at the Norman plant. With nearly five decades of dedicated service, Danny will soon celebrate an impressive 46 years with our organization this coming July. As the HTST #3 operator, affectionately known as the "Sour Cream Guy," Danny plays a pivotal role in our operations. He oversees the intricate process of running the machinery responsible for crafting our beloved sour cream, dip, and crema products. Danny is so attuned to the machines there that he can hear if something is off that no one else notices. Danny loves his job and he loves the machines. Soon after starting his tenure at Hiland, he got a plastic hammer to turn off and on the hand valves on the tanks. As you can see from the pictures, it’s now pretty worn. Danny says that it used to have a longer handle when it was new. Danny says when he gets home, he panics when he realizes that he doesn’t have the weight of the hammer in his belt. Danny says "When the hammer is unusable, that is when I'll retire." It's employees like Danny who embody the values of Hiland Dairy and make our workplace a truly exceptional place to be. In solidarity with our Midwest communities, the Hiland Dairy Manhattan Branch swiftly responded to the urgent needs following the devastating tornado in Westmoreland, Kansas. We contributed 84 cases of water to first responders and the Red Cross in their tireless efforts toward recovery. Together, we stand strong with our neighbors during this challenging time.

Our Branson branch went out to Silver Dollar City to celebrate the opening of the new Fire in The Hole ride at Silver Dollar City! 🙌 Our team gave out samples of the new custom Fire In The Hole Ice Cream to go along with the new ride.
