SOAR wouldn’t happen without the 105 devoted, enthusiastic, caring and all together incredible Program Leaders, Admins and Subs. This week we celebrated their year of remarkable work and commitment to making SOAR a safe place of belonging for our students and families. Not enough can be said about these wonderful people and the way they lead SOAR students each day. The majority of them balance a full schedule of school alongside their work at SOAR, giving their all in everything they do. We are truly grateful for each and every one of them!

This Friday is our 3rd annual NWA Amazing Shake, a competition for 4th-8th graders that puts their communication, problem solving and leadership skills to the test in an exciting and encouraging environment! We're looking for just a few more volunteers to help make this event the success, joining us at The Jones Center Friday morning. Volunteers interact with students in communication scenarios, networking and question and answer rounds, and provide scores for each interaction. It's one of the MOST fun volunteer opportunities around, and an impactful way to serve the community and NWA's future leaders. We'd love to have you join us this Friday morning! In a recent survey, 96% of families at a local elementary school, benefiting from the SOAR Afterschool Program, shared that our free program from 3:00-6:00 pm has been instrumental in finding or maintaining desired jobs and securing preferred work hours. Reflect on that number: 96%. Imagine the impact if companies redirected resources from employee retention/recruitment towards backing proven programs like the SOAR Afterschool Program, ensuring job stability for their workforce. SOAR Afterschool, serving 540 students daily, relies solely on grants and community investment. To sustain our vital work, we seek more support from the NWA community.
