Yesterday, we enjoyed celebrating our team members for #HospitalWeek! They were able to enjoy tasty treats, including funnel cakes, snow cones and corndogs, while playing games and making friendship bracelets. Congratulations to Jessica Howard, an RN in our Neuro ICU, on receiving a DAISY Award! The wife of a former patient nominated Jessica for this award and wrote, “My husband had so many wonderful nurses during his stay in the hospital, but Jessica was extra special. She always went above and beyond, not only for my husband, but also for me. Nursing is not just a job for Jessica, it is a passion, and it shows!” The ceremony was a beautiful way to celebrate #NursesWeek and was made even more special when the couple surprised Jessica with a visit.
