WDD recently took a trip to the site of the reimagined Winthrop Rockefeller Early Childhood Center. The building has been gutted and reorganized completely to accommodate the needs of infants and pre-K children. Originally built as an elementary school in the late 1970’s, this major renovation brings a fresh and organic feel to the existing spaces with upgraded finishes along with the use of color, natural light, and rounded forms. WDD Architects is excited to share with you the changes coming to the Galaxy at Mills High School in Little Rock! The 3 new project areas will bring new academic and extracurricular opportunities for the students of Mills. A special thank you to the Pulaski County Special School District, Consolidated Construction Inc., and Kinco Constructors for their hard work in making this project happen. The additions include: -New academic building addition with 10 classrooms -A 2,500 seat arena including 3 classrooms, coaching offices, locker rooms, weight room, training room, store, concessions, JROTC drill space, and 2 hospitality suites overlooking the football field -New softball stadium including a turf infield, grandstand, press area, bathrooms, and concession stand Construction is projected to complete in September of 2025 #wdd #cometnation #architecture #interiordesign
